Three years later, I’ve upgraded my camera body once, and added a second Canon 7D Mark II, Peak Design straps, a monopod, and a new camera bag but the same main lens – I learned a few things.

I often to forget some of these, so reviewing them before the shoot, may be helpful. I rented a second Canon EOS 7D Mark II from BorrowLenses, and learned a few tips and tools to make life easier.

First, make sure that your clocks are set correctly between the two camera bodies. I kept getting a warning when using the USB cable to connect the camera to my MacBook Pro about time-zone issue. The EOS utility will sync the clock to the computer. But I ignored this warning. In short, double check the clocks on the camera bodies before shooting.

Fifty Days of the 365

I didn’t tweet out the photos for the last several days, so lets look at the last 3 days of my 365.

(Large images and links below.)

So what is a 365 ?

Over on Yahoo! Answers the best answer describes a 365 as a “challenge of personal exploration” for a photographer or aspiring one. After some quick Googling, I still like this 6 year old answer is the best.

First Ever Casting Call

I am finally taking my photography hobby to to the next level, but I need a few models to help. I’m open to pretty much any type or look, from professional models and actors seeking head shots, to families, bands, or athletes who want to sit for me.

For this round, I am going to focus on three styles of studio portraits, each of which have three variations. All of these will be shot in front of black or white seamless backgrounds. This could include many different poses, with or without props, including multiple wardrobe changes.
